Did you look for the timing control unit???

When you find it, pull it off and open it up and see if you have some burned solder joints.

thats *EXACTLY* what my truck did for awhile..well, except its an '84 GMC and the clock never did work..but the radio shut off when the headlights were on, the speedo glow shut off when the headlights were turned on, and a few other things..I solved it by running an additional ground strap..no more problems..there is always a chance that somthing that simple is the culprit..

I'd recommend checking all electical items, seats, lights, headlights, cornering lights, brake lights, and rear running lights. Document what won't work. Check fuses in dash. Also consider headlight stalk switch, dimmer, etc. Are you stock, or what other mods do you have?

The fuses in the dash are all good. I checked the dimmer, and I dont have any mods.

I got diagrams from my school, and I saw that the Timing Control System was hooked to like everything, so I think it might be that. I just dont know where it is in the car yet...

Rey, I read your PM, but I am having some trouble finding the Time Control System still, you told me it was a white box behind the black box on the left side knee under the drivers side dash, but I looked, I cant find a white box other than the fuse box. heh..

I fixed it!

I wanted to say thanks to everyone for the help and advice they gave me. There was a broken circuit in the Time Control Unit. Thank you sooo much for the help, I am thankful for everyone that helped me.
