On friday i changed my plugs wires and distributor cap. but i also need to change the rotor. i have not been able to figure out how to change the rotor. can anyone help?

real easy!!

first take off dist. cap then on back of rotor(the side facing you), take out the little screw and the rotor should slide right up, then just put the new one on in same position and put new screw in! a $12 Haynes manual would be a good investment for small jobs like this, thats what I used to do my tune-up.

I do have a haynes manual and it doesnt tell you how to get the rotor off. so are you saying that the button behind the rotor just screws off regularly?

Look on the base of the rotor itself, and you'll see a phillips head screw somewhere on it. unscrew that, and the rotor will pop right off and you can switch 'em out.
