Oh GNOES!!!

Auto shop just called after doing my timing belt and water pump... they've found my rough idle/rich mixture problem (i thought it was the o2). 3 of my injectors are malfunctioning/leaking/not working so they need to be cleaned/rebuilt/replaced.

$50 bucks for the rebuild, $150 for the replacement.

It's nothing huge (the idle) but it's only going to get worse. Sadly, I don't think my dad wants it done... he says i drove it from Phoenix fine so whats the big deal... I told him a catalytic converter was a big deal (due to rich mixture) and gas milage was a big deal (when I first had it, it got 25-30 mpg, now i haven't seen it get better than 20).

Argh, and they have to take off the manifold too! that was my job!!!!

If you do end up letting them do it ask them to save old parts. That way they change ALL 3 instead of just 1 or something along those lines.

it'll get pricy if you have a shop do it. injectors aren't that hard to replace, plus the weather can't be too bad in WA so get outside and fix that max!

Luftwaffles. When I drove your car it didn't seem like that was the case.

You know buying a VE is the only real way to fix it, right?

maybe replace the O rings, but seriously, you will know if even one of your injectors is not working, and the way your car was running, they were all working. Leaking could be a possiability, I wasn't really paying any attention to it, but it sure didnt sound/run like one of the injectors was bad, let alone 3.
