I got unpainted but it matches my black trim very well. I took all the felt off of my trim a while back because I liked the black plastic trim look better than the burn hole (2), discolored material.

here are the pics.

some are some aren't.

The ones in there now came out of my 89 parts car. The ones that were in the 93 were grey under the cloth. Also on the newer cars (92-94 I know for sure) they have some holes drilled in the plastic on the rear trim...cant remember if the front does or not but the older trim (89-90 I know for sure) doesnt have the small holes in them.

I have no idea on the gauges. I really havent given it much thought. I mainly got it just to help out the group deal. It will probably be a long time before I even put it in.

I dont have any snow because I am way down here in the south (Mississippi). I am walking around today in shorts and a tee shirt in 60* weather. We get snow once every 5 years or so and then its for just a day or 2.

Dang, am I the ONLY one that hasn't gotten mine yet? I wonder if they're painting mine or just decided to ship it 'sans paint'?? Either way, I've got the gauges, (A/F, volt, oil temp) just waiting on the pod.

Oh, and Michael... your arm is hairy!

So it doesnt fit you are saying? Let me know cause if there is a problem with it Ill talk to Dennis at Lotek to see what we can do. So far you are the only one with that problem so maybe its either not pushed down all the way or maybe just one mistake on a pillar. We'll see.

They had to ship out over 30 something orders so be patient ( not like you havent been already) but they will come

here's pictures of mine on there. not sure about you guys but i found that it actually fit the best for me by just screwing it right onto the factory plastic pillar.

Mark, so you're saying you screwed it directly ON TOP of the oem pillar without taking the old one off? I thought you had to that one off...

(oh, and btw - I got mine yesterday! WhooHOO!! Test-fitting the gauges as we speak!)

like I said in the other thread the top screw lines right up with the seat belt track, I could put it on top of the old one or I could just fill the hole and make a new one. the bottom hole should be alright.

yeah, i just put the new one right over the old one. used some shorter screws and got some quick nuts to go over them so there's no chance of stripping the plastic out.

what's nice about this setup is i can pop it right off without dealing with the screws and it seems to look better compared to the new one sitting there by itself. it seemed to sit a bit too close to the a-pillar and left a lot of gaps which i think is due to the stock cover having a foam block on the bottom. i tried taking the foam block off but it wanted to keep ripping so i just decided put the pod on the way i did.

yeah I just did the same thing. mounted it right on top of the old one, I dont know if anyone else will have to do this but I cut about 2-3" off the bottom of my stock one so the wires could pass through.

but Kev mabey you could get them to throw a couple extra screw caps in with the pillars they havent shipped out cuase I know I lost mine as soon as I took it out of the box lol

Are most Maximas black plastic under the fuzzy pillar? cause I think I might pull my fuzzyness off the passenger side if so. That is the only thing that bothers me is one side is black and one side is fuzzy. Fits like a glove so far, I didnt get to detailed, just sort of held it in there, it seemed tall up and down but should snap in nice.

i didn't cut anything off but i think i can run the wires by just cutting a small hole in the stock cover where the gauges mount.
