Igition coil question and more and more

Hi guys!!

1. Was just wondering, is it necessary to change the ignition coil? What are the first signs of having a bad ignition coil? How much they go for? Are there different brands? Any online stores??

2. Also, makes this humming noise when its running but stopped or when I turn the steering wheel, I hear this humming noise. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?

3. Ground wires: I think I still have the original ground wires. and I want to change them. Is it essential to do so? What difference will I notice once I do it?
Anyone have pictures as to how to do so??????

THANKS SO MUCH

1) from the dealer they run about 54$ with the courtesyparts.com internet discount. In some areas autozone carrys them for a similar price. You can inspect them for cracks, if they have cracks then they should be replaced. You can also do resistance checks to see if either coil has shorted out. I replaced mine anyway, just to keep top running conditions at around 70K miles.

2) your power steering pump is probably going. you can try replacing the fluid to see if it gets better.

3) you can go to all the ground connections and clean them with a wire brush. or buy matts kit and replace them . I made my own set a couple years ago. If you want your max to run in top condition then, the wires should be replaced.
