Where would I find the stamped engine ID number on a 1993 SE? I know it's usually somewhere on the block, but I can't find that sucker anywhere (at least from up top)! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

According to the Haynes repair manual for 1993-1999 Maximas' (p 0-7): The Engine Identification Number can be found on a pad on the left end of the cylinder block, near the transaxle. There is also a picture in the book, not that it helps you. From the picture it looks like you should be able to read it from the top of the engine. It might be hidden from view because of it's location. Try looking really good on the left end of the engine block. If you're going to be doing work on your car you might want to purchase a manual, they cost around $15.
