Is there a way to make the low beams stay on while the high beams are also on without holding the switch halfway in?

 

theoretically you should be able to run them to the same power wire. although the stock relay might mess that up.... good question.
if i had more time to think about it i'd figure it out.

 

why so you can blind oncoming drivers even more?? do you drive through a pitch black cave everyday?? aren't highbeams enough??

 

Nah dont be so negative...I drive on some long pitch-black roads and I want to see both on with my fog bulbs, cause for a long time some of these streets can be scary as hell at 2.30 in the morning!I guess I might be fraid'a-da-dawrk.

 

well I hope for the oncoming drivers sake you don't blind them, that is really inconsiderate...but IMO fogs, low beams and high beams = UNECESSARY plain and simple. especially anywhere near and around college park, md

 

I still want to be able to turn off the highbeam with the switch though. Anyway here are some VERY VERY good 9006 bulbs.

These are definately great bulbs. I have the h7 ones in 55W. They have a bluish tint, but arent ricey.

 

i had my switch modified.. you can open up the headlight switch and connect the contacts together so that yu can have the low beams stay on along with the highs.. for HID this is neccisary.. my buddy did it for me, but i think he etched it or something

 

stick a relay in the wiring by the bulbs

 

assuming your fog relay is still stock, you could do the foglight rewire.

I've had those exact SAME bulbs in my car for over a year. I even had the XD3's to start and upgraded to the XD5s. No burnt harness, ever-so-slightly bluish tint like Brad said. Bright as heck!!!

Oh, and HIGHLY recommended!

any relay( radioshack is fine) just wire it like i did to kick on with the marker lamps

 

any relay( radioshack is fine) just wire it so that when you turn on the high beams it sends a signal to the low beams too.
