need help: oil pan removal?
#2
Drain oil. There are a bunch of 10 mm bolts along the underside of the pan where it'll attach to the block. Take those out and then I had to get a flathead to wedge in there because of the sealant or whatever that was used.

i just read the FSM pages EM54 and EM55 they say support the engine buy placing a jack under the crank pulley, remove ypipe, remove crossmember, remove the 18 oil pan bolts, in bold it says dont use a screw driver you could damange the mating sufaces. it says use sutable tool and remove pan. im sure you could use a small screw driver but just be carfull and dont pry on it hit it with a hammer to the left or right to break the seal. the tool they show is what looks to be a wide blade of some sort

Its easy. Just make to sure and soak the bolts with some PB or WD40 beforehand. They might be rusted or stuck on there good.
3 14 mm on the front manifold and 3 more on the rear. The 2 that connect to the cat are either 15 or 17, the size evades me as this point in time.
