Engine Temp..

My 93 gxe has some problems with the engine temperature. Its winter time and im out warming up the car. The Gauge reads right in between H and C. I take a trip on the Highway and the gauge begins to drop to C. Is this a good thing? I mean having ur engine running cool means that its least heat wear on the parts. Is there something wrong with the sensor? What should i do and what seems to be the problem?
Thanks

Yup it's the thermostat. And good advice, DO NOT buy one from Autozone!! POS !!! Go to Nissan and get it. No problems.
