Auto tranny Question......
I was driving on the weekend and I was in the city of Newcastle. I had to stop at heaps of lights and stop and start driving. My trany seemed to get a little hot from this. When it went into overdrive at 80kph (50mph) it seemed to jump back out then into gear again a few times. The revs went up a bit then back to normal. Was this becasue it was hot? I have a tranny cooler installed, but maybe cause there was not a lot of air getting through it because of all the stop and starting I was doing it was not getting a chance to cool down. I changed the coolant yesterday and got my tranny warmed up around town by stop and start driving and it worked fine. Maybe it was the coolant before not lowering the temp properly?? Has anyone had this problem before? The light does not come on at all and there is no burnt smell to the tranny fluid. I had it serviced around 4 months ago and have not realy done at lot of KMS. Any help or information would be great!
I don't think that changing the coolant will make the car run cooler it justs keeps it from freezing unless oyu had a lot of sediment in your radiator. Before my tranny when out the first thing was the jerky overdrive. Hopefully that isn't the case for you, since you drove it again and it seemed fine.
