Having problem with parking/dash lights switch

When I turn the switch to turn on my parking lights/cluster and dash light, sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't. Eventhough the switch is turned on both parking lights and all interior lights turn off. Then when I give it a few hits and punches to the light switch handle it comes back on but still turns off. Sometimes soon sometimes after a few minutes.

What should I check first?? Short somewhere?? Fuse???

Thanks

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having a similar problem, but my keeps blowing the fuse. I have ordered a new swith from nissan. It only cost me $63. The junk yards wanted $50. If it gets worse, I would try changing the switch.

it might be a short in yalls tailights, take a multimeter and test around, also this is a no brainer, but make sure its the right amp fuse

This happened to me a while ago. Did you install an aftermarket Stereo Head Unit? That might be the problem. I had the wires crossed.
