Newbie question...3rd Gen factory alarm...
I tried searching the net for information on this but I haven't found anything meaningful, and the stickies dont have anything on this. I'm trying to get some more info on the factory alarm for my 93 GXE, I am curious if it is adjustable at all for sensitivity, or is it even worth time messing with it. Since I've had the car I set if by accident once when I had the trunk up for a bit doing stuff in the garage, but besides that you wouldnt know it has an alarm if there wasnt a security light on the dash.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks...Joe

the factory alarm is very basic. It arms when the doors/trunk are locked and the key is out of the ignition. It will only go off if one of these is opened without the key. There is no bump or vibration sensor to set it off. If that's happening on your car, then you have an aftermarket alarm.
