I know that sounds like a smart a** answer but its the truth. You may find someone in the states that got one and dont like it now but thats probably slim since there are only a few that have them.

Look at the NZ and australian grills too because they are similar and we have some members on here that live there. Maybe one of them can help you out.

 

there was a cefiro one for sale on ebay. i know its a different car so dont flame me, but the description said it would fit a 3rd gen. it was like 50 bucks too

the ebay a31 cefiro thing will not fit, so they are falsely advertising.

i figured as much, but im sure no one has tried it out, so you never know. i didnt say they would, i just stated they said it would. im sure if bmw's were't readily avail in the us no one would think e36 lighs fit our cars. just something to think about.

shavedmax, talk to DA-MAX. he will tell you the whole story if he isn't tired of it already. nothing from the A31 will fit the 3rd gen without hiring the help of a welder and saw. the grille looks cool on the cefiro from where it came.

we're mixing grilles here. UK grille is not A31 grille.
as for the UK grille, you either like it or you really hate it. nj93vi's car looks great with it, imo.

my point was that you have to modify the brackets on the e36 lights to fit our car, its not a direct fit. ithe grille may be the same shape and size, but not bolt right up. it looks close in the pics, but pics are deceiving. i know the a31 is completely different, kinda fugly too

actually, the grill is bolt rite up just like our grill. The reason its look the same shape with the E36 conversion cuz i took their headlight cover out and replace it with Clear GTS headlight cover. I used the dremel tool to cut it and sand it, so they could look like they came with the car. Otheriwise, they look very ugly. Plus i had to put weather seal around it so when its rain the water doesn't get in and fogggy. Ask Michle, Aws66, I learned this mod from him. Since it was hard to get the grill out, i broke all the screw and ended put tigh the grill with the twisster wire. In my opion, i think the grill look good only if u do E36 coversion, other then that look very fugly with our stock headlight. If i put my stock headlight back on, i would put the US grill over the UK grill. U could do mesh grill on the US one, and they will look good also.

OK guys, I found about 3 like the one I have now & 4 like the first pic on my site. Man, they r f$$$ing expensive. They normally would be NZ $150, but the guy said if I buy all of them, he would drop it down to $125 each. These r NZ prices, so if sumone will convert the dollar for u guys, then u will know how much they r. If anybody wants one, let me know & I will get intouch with the Maxima of the Month guy(chesar) & work out a plan of shipping all to the states.

Yeah, I went to 3 different places. 1 place didnt have any, hard to find down here. 2nd place was a Nissan dealer & they were more$$$. They told me about this other place & I went there & he buys all Nissan damaged cars here. So, he told me to call him when I get a round rumber of guys who wants one. If i get more than 1 guy buying, I will ship them to Cheasar, so I need to know how many guys wants these so I can get intouch with him to work out the best way of shipping.

 

When I wanted to order sumthing from ebay, they quoted me $48.00 US to ship a FTSB to my door. So, maybe the same in reverse

As much as I like the grill, I think I'll have to pass until a better deal comes along. I would have to pay over $120 to get it, then I have to pay to get it painted, which would probably run another $100.

Sorry, EdzMax, but that is a lot to pay for something that's just cosmetic. I really appreciate you looking and finding them, but I would rather spend that kind of money on engine or suspension mods.

I know, thats what I told the guy, give them to me cheaper, but like I said earlier, these r hard to find. No worries about the grilles, at least hes going to sell me the front & rears seats out of a SE model for NZ $150.00. I think thats a great buy, the rears still have the fold down seats too. & the fronts r electric.

Now you know that the grills are too much, when he wants the same amount for a full set of electric seats as a single grill.

 

they must figure in the bling factor to those wanting to sport them, the grilles.
