I think I will do that when I do. He had about 5 damaged maximas there with good seats. So, I should be able to swindle the price for the grilles.

By the way, I remember a thread about 4th gen. seats, can they fit in 3rd gen. w/o modding?

yeah, the grille is so much smaller and easier to remove. It should also be ALOT less since you are buying so many, you were only buying one seat

So, tell me how much would u pay for good both front POWER seats & rears folding down seats(forgot, US don't have them). Remember, I only have an S model, so the seats r not that great.

By the way, thats $150 NZ dollars, not US.

Yeah, we get really ripped for maxima parts as all the specialist junkyards can get good money for the parts - the clear corners are at least NZ$120 each as well! Can't believe set of seats is same as a stinking grille That's just wrong...

The parts guy knows he'll eventually sell the grilles to insurance companies fixing peoples accident damage. They pay whatever he wants for them. The seats however would probably sit in his yard till they rot unless he sells 'em to someone for cheap. Thats why the cost is the same. Thats a good price for the grille considering the Maxima isn't a common car in NZ. Australian prices would be probably NZ$50+ higher than that for the same used part.

You're right about the parts cost disparity, but Maximas are definitely a common car in NZ! Another reason some parts are high is because they're really popular - used models sell very quickly and people who drive them look after them, so try not to wreck them. Hence it's hard to get parts except from the Nissan specialist junkyards.

Have you Aussies got over losing the Rugby World Cup to England yet? (for the record, I backed England from the start as always thought they were the underdog & were never gonna win it...)

Hey Rich, ure funny with the rugby. Yeah, I agree with lp with the insurance company, he told me that when I was asking about them. I will try when I get my seats to see if I can get them at a lower price.

By the way Rich, if u do *** down to wgtn, I want to do the same thing u did with ure lights.

When I say common, I mean Commodore common. If NZ has as many Maximas on the road as Commodores I'll eat my "I hate rugby" hat.

Sorry but I'm from SA, an AFL state. You need to ride someone from NSW or QLD because the rest of the country doesn't give a rats about rugby.
