Moving a Maxima in Park w/o Starter. Help

Moving a Maxima in Park w/o Starter. Help

i got this non running maxima in my yard and i want to put it in my garage but it dont have a starter and its in park. and no battery either. is there some lock in the car somewhere i can break. i dont care the car is for junk but the engine and transmission are good and i want to get them out.

any ideas?

to get it out of park there's a button at the base of the shifter.
To unlock the column just undo the 2 plastic half covers and remove the lock

why? just jack the car up and slide them under. not great for grass or loose surfaces but it will work on a driveway

for the later models (92-94 I think), there is a little red button on the front side (near radio) of the auto shifter that you just push down while you move the lever, for the earlier models, there is still a release, but I think you have to remove the trim piece around the shifter like internetautomar mentioned
and you can still steer it slowly if you have a key to put in the igntion to prevent the wheel from locking up
