M3 Mirrors.

This is not a thread to ask what anyone thinks of them, , , ect. I simply want to know, has anyone ever took off there stock mirrors. I need a how-to on this. I don't know how to take them off. I bought a pair of the M3 mirrors with turnsignal after having a small Queens Maxima meet and seeing a local max with them. They are universal mirrors, only the base plate changes from car to car. Thanx for any help, I will try to do them this weekend to post pics.

I talked to Tommy, he said if you bring him the car to look at or some pictures he can give you a price on fixing/finishing your bodywork, but it was hard for me to describe what exactly you wanted to do.

Ngthing had put them on his GXE maxima but it was not directly bolt on, it required modification. He modified his webpage because before he had pictures of them installed on his car.

From what I can see with the mirrors, all I have to do is drill 2 holes, and that is only to secure it alittle more!! But if anyone can help me out with the wires in the car. The max has a light blue, yellow, and purple wire. I don't know what wires they connect to from the M3 mirrors. But as far as fitment, they are o.kay. I will fabricate around it to make it look a little cleaner.

I was looking for heated ones with the signals but never found any. I'd like the signals but I gotta find heated first.
That's after I fix my max

The factory M3 mirrors are heated, its the factory special mirror that heats up, each mirror from a BMW dealer is about $60.00. I am pretty sure the ebay mirrors will not heat up so I suggest to custom fit some OEM M3 mirrors.

That's kinda what I was thinking, as well. Cuz if it was JUST $60 for the entire assembly, I'm sure just about everyone and their mom would have had some by now...

It's not $60.00 for the entire assembly its $60.00 for the glass only. $115-120 for the base and mirror case each side.

They do sell a LED stick-on which will do the same thing but a lot cheaper. I bought a pair but havent put them on yet. They are Flexible and have about six amber LEDs. I bought it from Advanced Auto Parts
