i have a friend with a 3rd gen and he has a lil problem - he went to work today started the car fine but when he got to work he went to turn off his car and pull the key out, the key turned to the off pos. or wutever but the car stayed on ? now i sugg. him to open his hood and unplug the battery to turn the car off. but then he couldnt get his key out - LOL - so wut to do - the car is at his work lot with the key in it - but no battery.???? the new anti-theft device.

anyway im laughin but he isnt - any ideas of wut the problem would me - ???

If you pull the battery, it wont turn off the car, unless the altenator is dead.

You'll have to cut off its air supply, or pull the coil (coils for VE), or maybe use a vacuum line stick it on the EGR, that should kill the car too and not require any tools aswell.

Could be a bad ignition relay. When you try the turn off the car, give the relay(s) a few light wacks.

hes right pulling the battery will NOT turn the car off the alternator will keep it running go under the dash to the fuses and find the one labeled fuel pump - pull it. check the ignition relay like posted before

Well, he may not have much of an alternator now. How do you do that while the engine is running?!!!!
