Window tint w/ tan leather interior......comments?

Alright guys

I have been thinking for a while to get my windows tinted. But I have tan leather interior and I know any % tint on it will look lighter than it would with a dark interior car.

Have any of you tinted your tan interior maxes? How does it look? What % are you at? Here in NC, the max allowed is 35%. So if my interior makes it look barely tinted, then I may not do it.

I need some input....

Thanks!

yea i got 35% on mine with tan inside and it looks barely tinted... some people still ask why i haven't got them tinted yet which makes me mad. On my page it looks darker in the pics than real life. I would go either 20% all around or 20f and 5r.

Here we go, this is my stuff. When you tint a car with the light interior the reflection off the inside shines through the tint. If you want the film to appear darker you can tint part of your windshield. this will cut down on the light coming through the top. I have the whole front windshield tinted and it made it so dark you can't see in at all. The W/S is only 50%.

Your next option is to put on a semi-reflective film. If you have a max with Bronze windows they turn out alittle bronze mirrored. Theis is what is on mine. Everyone who looks at it at my shop wants that. It only comes out like that if its bronze. If you have just a normal green tinted glass it will just look like aluminum colorer.

This film costs more but it has alot of other advantages. You will get more privacy during the day. At night it gets lighter than normal film. This is caused by the fact that it gets its privacy from reflection of the sun. This is great for night time driving. Also you will gain heat rejection over normal film. With 35% you will have better heat rejection than normal 20%. That is around 60% rejection. If you go with 20% you will have about 75% rejection.

So, what is this stuff!? It is madeby a company called SUNGARD. It is called Endurance. If you want to stay legal go with an EnduranceEX 35%. If you want to be darker go with Endurance 20%. The EX is more reflective. In my state 35% is limit on front 20% is legal rear only. I use the Ex 35% on front with 20% reg on rear and they look real close to the same from the outside. youe can't tell the difference from 5 feet. This way you can still pass the meter.

BTW REFLECTIVE film is illeagal in all states,Semi-Reflective is different, this is not mirrored film. Any further questions?

UV Light Kills Leather. You NEED film on that leather!!!

i believe you're referring to a "metalliac tint"...no such thing as semi reflective.
older tints were just dyed poly and that just gave u the darkness. the metalliac gives u more of the silver reflection look.

on metalliac tint you'll get a slight metal reflection on the tint. endurance is good...lifetime warranty and it does resist fadeing since it's a metalliac tint.

funny that you refer to the legality of the tint. i don't know any state that will allow tint on the front windshield of any darkness below the top band.

If you want to get technical it is an aluminum sputtering process. Endurance Film is actually 7 different layers. I didn't thing we were goint to get tech on a guy that wants tint on his car. Semi-reflective refers to the fact that light will pass through to an extent. Residential film is refered to as reflective. This is illegal on any car.

I do believe that I said it has a silver reflection (aluminum look)

There is no state that allows film on W/S without a doctors perscription. I never said this was legal! The law says the tint must not pass the AS1 line.

Its also illegal to speed too. How fast have you gone?

do you tint professionally?

sure it's illegal to speed...i don't do it all the time.
do you pull your tint off the windshield? if you can see out of the windshield all the time then more power to you.

BTW don't start with the p1ssing match here.

Didn't know you were trying to start a p!ss!ng match with me!! Just cearifying my points. You seemed to be tying to upstage alittle.

As I said the W/S is 50%. New Domestic cars have 70% W/S Factory.
