Antenna and Ash Try Light

Alright, 2 things to deal with here. My antenna is broken, so it doesn't go up and down, only stays up all the time. I never use my radio now that the Bose is gone, and I was wondering if they was anyway I can make it so the radio always stays down? By turning something that will bring the tower down? Also, when messing with my stereo wiring I noticed a mechanism above the ash tray, but didn't think much of it...a couple days later at night I opened my ash tray and noticed it was lit, but now it doesnt light up anymore...any ideas?

Thats your ash tray light, if its out you have to replace the small bulb inside. i took the whole bulb and harness out and wired up an old 194 plug with a purple LED to match interior and speedo lights.

about the antenna. i kno you said it was broken, but does it go up when you turn the car on and down when you turn it off. or up when you turn the radio on and then down when you turn the radio off? cause if that the case there is a wire you can cut and it will stop going up and down. i have mine wired to a hidden switch so i can only use the antenna when i absolutely have to use it.

I got that same problem with my antenna. When I turn on or off my radio, I don't hear the motor turning... I think something isn't plugged in, but there is a lot of things unplugged.

Maybe I should just get my antenna removed, and get someone to shave it...
