firstly, go to a junkyard and pickup some speaker mounts from a non-bose max. secondly, there are a few things you have to do.

i have a list of instructions from crutchfield, ill scan em and pdf them for if you want. but its also in the chiltons in the stickies

pm me if you need the files

James92se makes baffles that bolt straight up to the door, then you just screw the speakers into them. For the price, you cannot bet them.

ok, to remove the door panel off
i lost the instructions but ive taken my door panels off enough to know this.

step
1- remove all the screw covers (two at the front near the hinges, one in the top of the door pull handle, and one in the door open handle below the actual handle)
2- remove both the screws fron the front, the top of the pull handle, and two from the door opener cup.
3-remove the door pull handle
4- remove the cover from the door lock post
5- gently pry out door panel from the bottom up.
6- lift the panel up at the window runner
7- unplug any connections for the windows, and door courtesy light.

then all you have to do is pull out the bose unit, unplug the harness. and waa-laa,

to re-install, follow the steps backwards and make sure all the connections are back, and you may want to clean the connections up while ur in there.

hope this helps

look in the FAQs under craig brace's page. There is a section on how-tos and look under removing door panels. I think it might be in with the replacing regulators section. There are pics and even the bolts are circled on the pics.

Buy some speaker pods from James92SE. They work perfect and he can make them for either 6.5" speakers or 5.25" speakers.

They look like this

like MrGone said, they can't be beat for the price and fit just right.
