Loosing Power, Need Help

Ok, i've pretty much got a lot of the same problems with my '93 hesitating under acceleration and loosing a lot of power; feels like it downshifts but it isn't at all, as of late its gotten really hard to drive because its so rough going anywhere these days. I've had everything checked up (coil packs, plugs, fuel injectors, filter, mass meter) and now all that i think is left is the cam positioning sensor (is it the same as the knock sensor?), but i've been procrastinating it because the CPS part is so expensive

Would it be a good bet to change that part out now?

Knock sensor is in the cener of the block between the heads. Cam sensor is on the end of the cam.

You checked your injectors, how was your fuel pressure. I just found that I lost my second fuel regulator in a year.

Fuel pressure is fine, the injectors were also cleaned off and checked

also replaced 2 cracked ignition coils, the rest were fine

i've got a strong hunch that its the cam sensor, since that seems to be the more prominent source, but i don't kno, i'd prefer someone who has had the same problem and changed out this part or something that has fixed it to reply so that i have some sort of second opinion so that i may make a better decision cuz it is an expensive part and if it isn't it, i'll be ticked.

Does it feel like its dragging an ancor? If you have alot of miles it may be a plugged Cat conv. Did you check that. Usually when you have checked all the hard items its something easy.

Sounds like a faulty knock sensor. You can try running a 470k ohm resister in the ks harness to see if it improves things. I have on my car but we can maybe switch it to see if it makes a diff. I'm also in Bellevue, Wa.
