thanks, there has been so many hold ups in getting my car back and its almost time to turn the key, after all the blood sweat and tears the rotation may make or break it, (its a LONG story..)

Most engines spin clockwise looking at the front (passenger) end.

Quick look at the fsm but I couldn't find the rotation. From working on my engine, I believe it's clockwise(looking at the engine from the pass side). Sorry nothing concrete. Are they rotating the chains to line up the sprockets? One way makes the chains tight and the other way makes the chains to slack(so that's why I "think" it's clockwise).

I looked at my VG and it spins clockwise looking at it from the passenger side. Hope it helps. Im sure the VE must spin the same way.

YES ! and jeff is right ! if the motor spins counterclockwise the chains loosen if it goes clockwise it stays tight. that was the problem the mechanic was having he was hand rotating the motor counter clockwise and the chain kept jumping he set it twice and the third time he set it he diddnt spin it so all the chains stayed aligned ill be sure to tell him its gonna spin the right way (clockwise) Im exited now ill have my car on tuesday ! oh man this is great i cant wait till tuesday after work so i can pick her up !! sweeeeet !

with the transmission set the way it is for maxima power to the wheels it would only be correct for the engine to spin the same direction as the wheels when moving forward. in the case of ours cars it would be clockwise like everyone has said.

if it spun the other way you would be taking a motion that is spinning counter clockwise and making it then turn clockwise so there would most likely be more power loss. (at least this is from what i was told)
