What are clutch pins, can they go bad ?

I had my clutch replaced 50000 miles ago, I remember the mechanic said that the pins in the clutch had gone out and parts in the clutch were not held correctly and the TO bearing got damaged. I think I have the same pb again.
The clutch kits do not include those pins do they ?

Clutch pins can get damaged and that may cause your TO bearings to get damaged. I'm not sure if clutch kits come with the pins although I think so. Worst case scenarion, buy some from a dealer. They shouldn't cost you much.

What tools do I need to change the clutch ? How long will it take ?
I am trying to find an online do it yourself guide with photos.
If you have a link please let me know.
