i was thinking about putting something in my backseat arm rest where it folds down, like 2 6 1/2s or maybe mount a small amp or some bass ports there which could be seen with it folded down. would the speakers work there? has any one seen anything mounted there? it just seems like it is going to waste....

I've never seen speakers mounted _in_ that piece, but I have seen people cut it out and put subs in their trunk firing _through_ it.

Do you want to mount the speakers/amp/subs/whatever on the carboard-type thing that seperates trunk from backseat?

well, this is what i was thinking . cut out the square of cardboard and replace it with osc, pressboard, whatever and put sub box carpet over it. so from the front all you see is a carpet covered square when the arrest is down. on the square mount 2 61/2s in a figure eight shape. or mount a small amp there, or make a sub port or 2 to the trunk. i dont know if these would work...any comments??? good idea, bad?? thanks

Yea, I think those would all work. I especially like the idea of a sub being right there when you flip down that arm-rest. I just took that piece out so you could see into the trunk, covered the exposed metal with carpeting, and made a platform for my amps.
