I just talked to someone at www.aftermarketsource.com and they told me that the APC wiring harness for 9004 headlights is on backorder and has been for months, and that I might have to wait several weeks before they become available.

1. Does anyone know where I can get one NOW?
2. Does anyone know who else makes them, beside APC?

 

they've been on backorder everywhere for several months.

I don't think anyone else makes them, but if you understand how relays work, you can make one yourself for about $15.
(it's one of those things that if you have to ask how, you don't need to do it.. so if you can't think about it and understand the concept right off, then just buy the APC harness and save yourself hours of misery)

 

damn they're still on backorder...it was like that 6 months ago when i got mine...

keep calling places...i did and got lucky and found one that had it...

 

I actually bought two of them within the last 2 weeks from carparts.com and I received both of them within a week. Don't know about any of the back order business you are talking about.

just curious, will I need a different type of harness if I switch to the BMW lights? i have the APC 9004 harness right now but I havent opened the package since I am unsure if I need them.

 

read skymax's writeup on the Bimmer light install.. he details all the parts you'll need. and YES, you need to modify your harness to do it. (see the writeup)..
prime time to use the search function. I found his writeup in 3 min looking through the search pages.

pretty much, I am trying to find out, is it possible to use the 9004 harness and turn it into something useful for 9005/6 bulbs?
