Does anyone on here live near their shop? If so, could you please stop by for them to look at and possiably make a turbo kit for our maximas.

i just got off the phone with Millenium, seeing as how I am so close. The guy said that they are looking for a donor car to make the up pipe and down pipe. That is all. The donor car will get 50% off of parts. Labor charges for a complete turbo will run about $1400, that is not including parts.

vg with the turbo is fun. i know, i have one. granted a ve turbo would be very fun the vg still has tons of untapped potential. hopefully when i get my tranny rebuilt i'll be able to finally find the vg's potential in the maxima.

myself and BML94GXE went down to millenium autosports today and talked to brian. evilvamp7 he needs to know for sure which engine you have.
evilvamp7 - when we talked on the phone sat, you told me that you have a DOHC engine, but you are asking for piping to be made on a SOHC engine. which is it?
let me know, i can go back down there tomorrow and talk to brian again.
VG SOHC
VE DOHC

i might be doing some vg turbo setups that are similar to mine sometime soon. if i can get them put together i'll post it on here. should be a heck of a lot cheaper than having a place do it like that. may not be professional but its a good starter kit if that's all you're looking for at the moment.

i was just putting the labor costs in there to give people an idea of how much it would be just for that.

I know and I wasnt really talking to you, it was directed at the people who are gonna see $1400 for a turbo kit plus parts
ya get what Im saying?

1400 in just the labor will still run out to easily 2500-3000 for the whole thing by the time you're done.
800 for a turbo
400 for a wastegate
150+ for a BOV
several hundred for exhaust and intake piping
3-900 for an intercooler..
and those are just the easy items to cover. also have to deal with oil/water lines, fittings, adaptors, flanges, etc

$125 for a 300zx turbocharger (or you can find a better one on ebay for less than $400)
$175 for a Turbonetics Deltagate Mark III wastegate
$25 for a 1st gen Eclipse bov
$150 for the intake piping and exhaust at a local exhaust shop
$50 for an intercooler
~$10 for the oil feed line and adapters to fit in the turbo and stock oil feed line
$50 for a custom made downpipe flange (i couldn't find any that were produced so i had a guy make one for me) (not needed if you get a different turbo but you will need to get the proper flanges for that turbo)
various hoses for vacuum/gas/water/whatever are pretty cheap from an autoparts store.
$30 for left turbo manifold from 84-86 300zx
$25 for right manifold
$28 for crossover pipe (which really isn't needed. one needs to be custom made if you're wanting to relocate the turbo which is recommended. only thing i'd use off of it would be the flex section which is definitely needed on any crossover pipe to allow you to bolt down the crossover pipe tightly)
$200 for the custom crossover pipe. might be able to find a place that'll do it cheaper or if you have the skills you can make one yourself.
some injectors you can use are the ones that came off of the SR20DE in the older SE-R's. they are 259 cc and are high impedence so they will work on our ecu, you'll just need a retune so it will handle the larger size.
i found a set of 4 for $50 before on some SE-R classifieds so if you search around there you're bound to find a deal.
for fuel control you can go jwt for the best reprogram since they'll do the ignition timing as well or you can go apexi s-afc or greddy e-manage. it seems like with the e-manage you can do a lot more stuff like fuel and ignition timing but the price for all of that starts getting it up next to the jwt so its really your choice if you want to have the power to program it yourself or if you just want jwt to get a nice tune for you.
i think that's just about what all you need for this. it'd be good to have the various guages and such. other than that i can't think of anything else.

your right 400's alittle high for a waste but i wasnt going to say anyhting
and as far as injectors go i dont think i would waste your time on 260cc injectors because there going to be maxed out around 230whp unless you use an FMU and im sure even a VG could put down that kind of power on moderate boost so i would atleast go for 370cc that will get you close to 300whp. they can be gotton off ebay for pretty cheap i bieleve from 90 to 94 300zx TT will work for the VG, 95-96 for the VE
