Radiator fans stopped working???

I left my 89se running and when I came back it was making a clicking sound from under the hood and I noticed some steam comming out from under it. When I popped the hood I saw the antifreeze boiling in the over flow bottle and my fans not working. I checked the fuse but I'm thinking maybe a relay?? Do they make a clicking noise when they go??

Any ideas would be great.
Thanks.

Mines too, no clicking noise though. I checked all the fuses and am at a loss.

More than likely a bad relay.

The relays are those plugs in the compartment in the engine bay? In the box that has three for RAD FAN? How can I tell if one is bad?

I found where my problem comes from. It wasn't a fuse or relay. It was a wire in the goose neck where the top hose goes into(with yellow connector). It looks like some type of sending unit?? The other hose connected to this goose neck was leaking so I was checking it out and hit that wire.. My fans started. I wiggled the wire and fans stopped.. I'm going to take it off and see if I can clean the connection or if there is a short.. So MaximaGuy719 you might want to try this... Also my temp gauge has been going on an off for a while . Does anyone know if this unit is connected to temp gauge??

My 89 Se Had The Same Problem With That Plug. In My 90 Se I Have Never Seen The Fans Work But It Never Overheats Or Makes Any Moises So I Dunno I Am Not Gonna Mess With It I Knwo They Are On A Temp Sensor So My Car Maynot Hit The Mark To Have The Fans Come On It Is Really Weird Though No Matter How Long It Idles It Never Overheats And The Fans Dont Coem On I Dunno If Anyone Can Explain This...... Btw I Have Already Checked The Plug On This One And It Is A New One I Had On A Spare Engine Harness So I Know Thats Not It.
