Buying a Different Max...

I found a 1994 SE that looks like its in almost perfect condition but its $3900. The car is Black with a grey cloth interior, sunroof, 127,000 miles, 5-spd... I am planning to offer $3000-3200 for the car, is that a fair price for the car, or is it too little or to much? Last year I bought a similarly equipped 1992 SE for $3000 in good condition...

When I go to look at this car what should I look for? I know some things that I should look for(Cuz they annoy the $#!+ out of me on my white car) but I'm concerened that when I go to look at this car I will forget to look for little problems that could turn into major problems.

Thanks,
Rob

Problems: VTC tick, window regulators, power antenna, spark plug coils, Bose problems, control arm bushings.
Run a carfax. Look for body damage. Check a/c and heat. See what repairs or maintance it has had. Check all electrical features.
I'd recommend checking cars.com or autotrader.com, and seeing what the going rate for the car is. 3900 is probably too top dollar. 3200 would be much better. It really varies alot, depending on what repairs, maintance and condition the vehicle is in. SE 5 speeds seem fairly rare these days. Site unseen, most likely worth at least 2500.
