Hi,

my max somehow has a seperate button for the trunk and a seperate lever for the gas,

could my max be a late 90 and a earlier 91?

because my max built date was 8/90

can you tell me if your max has a seperate button for the trunk and a seperate lever for the gas or if the trunk button is on the same lever as the gas,

the gxe's of the 89-91 model year had the button on the door for the trunk and lever for the gas lid whereas the 89-91 se's had the lever for the trunk and gas lid.

I don't really think maxima's had an anniversary edition special in their 3rd gens. Correct me if I'm wrong...
BTW, we all know SE stands for Sport Edition... What does GXE stand for?

i don't believe there would be any difference among the 89-91's of the same model. i know the 89's did have a sonar suspension option but i'm not sure about the 90's.

they might have put them on the 90's but i'm almost sure they didn't have that option for the 91's. ways you could tell would be there would be a switch to control your suspension instead the power/comfort switch for the auto tranny and also, you'd be able to see wires coming out the top of the strut towers in the engine bay.

yes there is a special edition, and i got it, take a look, what they did is paint the car pearl white and put a metalic finish on it, and the trunk handle on the 90 se is located right bye the driver side seat next to the floor, but i do know my car is the special option. But i don't think there is anything really special about it
