Painting chrome

Painting chrome

i am going to be painting the grill black and the trim around my windows blackand maybe the side mirrors. does anyone know a good way to prep and paint the chrome? and does anyone have a suggestion for the brand of paint to use?

use steel wool or fine sandpaper to rough up the chrome so the paint can grab. As far as paint I would just use auto touch up paint at a parts store...something in a can and just dont spray so heavy it runs.

Take a look at the bottom pics in my profile i painted the mirrors and the bottom skirting all silver. it looks pretty nice, i used an air sander to ruff up the paint. and make sure you tape up everything around what you painting or you will be pretty ****ed when you get over spray on your windows or paint
