An 87 300Z motor fits perfectly... 100% compatible Here's a picture of the computer we're running. It's an Electromotive TEC-II system.

a couple of questions for ya...

ok.... first, is thier a big difference between the 87 3ooz motor, and the maxima motor as far as horsepower, etc? also would like to know whats your horsepower now with the turbo z motor in your max... in very interested cause i have axcess to a 87 turbo z motor...and i could try to imitate the marvelous work you have done with the 300z motor replacement.... thanks for your time, and awsome work... looks damn good , and i bet it runs even better..... PEACE

Re: a couple of questions for ya...

An 87 Z N/A engine would have no power gains. If you put in an 87 Z Turbo engine and NOT turbo it, you'd have less power.

The turbo engines, with the exception of the oil pump, pisons, intake/exhaust manifolds, and vacuum system, are identical to our engines. When/if you go turbo, you'd want to keep the oil pump, pistons, and maybe exhaust manifolds.

I plan on using a maxima intake system.
