Timing Belt

Ok, I know that on the VG motors you have to change the original timing belt at 60K. My question is whether or not the belt has to be changed every 60K after that. The reason that I ask is that the Nissan dealer in my area says that the replacement belts are better than the original belts and that they are good for 100K. Any input? I know, it's much cheaper to replace the belt than the engine, but I'm just curious if any of you heard the same thing.

it does, unless you like replacing cylinder heads.

Regardless of the belt, you still have the water pump and tensioner to possibly go wrong over 100K. So I'd change the belt at 60K. I've heard belt quality OEM vs Repro/generic can vary alot for cars in general-not sure about Nissan specifically though. Maybe someone knows some specifics on OEM Nissan belts vs generic brand.
