Radiator Question
Radiator Question
Hey everyone,
I'm changing my coolant. I just ran into a problem. I can't find one of the block drain bolts. I located the one inbetween the alternator and oil dipstick guide. The one I can't find is noted as "R.H. Drive Shaft" by the owner's manual. Any suggestions. Also, I haven't changed the fluid in 50k mi +. Should I remove the thermostat before I flush? Is there a way to cheat this step. I really don't feel like removing my drive belts because my alternator adj bolt is stripped. Similarly, should I use any chemical cleansers or additives?
I have an Auto VE,
Thanx in advance,
Matt

Thanx,
The reason I was in such a rush was because my car was starting to overheat. I think I had blockage somewhere. Anyways, I used some Zertek flush and it took care of the problem. When it came to the block, I just drained from the plug by the alternator. About a gallon and 1/2 came out of that one.
