Bolt/screw for the door

I don't know what to call this, but the 'bracket' (gold in color) that holds the door closed has two screws attaching it to the door. I need to find one of these screws. My husband says it must be a special Nissan screw because he doesn't have one to match. My door won't stay closed without both of them. It's a 92 SE

if it's the door lock it has 3 screws that hold it in place, obviously you need all three to hold the door closed, but more importantly, how did you lose one? because if it just disappeared one daythen it's a good possibility that the screw broke and you may need a new lock. either way i would say go to a local junk yard, show them what you need and have them pull it for you. it shouldnt be more than 20-30 bucks for the lock.

if it's the striker( on the side of the door where it hinges) that has 2 screws, same question and suggestion as above, but if it is keeping the dor from closing you can just pull the pin out. the door should open and close freely( more than before) without nescesarally having to replace anything.

hope it helps

Do you have a junk yard in your area? That's where I get most of my bits and pieces that are missing from my cars from time to time. They probably wouldn't even charge you for it.

It is the striker with the two screws. I have no idea how the screw worked its way out. Nissan dealer says he will order one for me. Just a dollar or two. Thanks for all responses.
