Well, I just got this car about a month ago and NOW I'm starting to find problems. Here is a list, any ideas would be VERY helpful!

1. Crappy performance after car warms up. After driving it a little harder than normal (about 3.5K RPM's or so) The car seems to jerk a bit and not be too quick at the lower RPM's. If I stop the car and unscrew the gas tank, I find that it is pressurized and it hiss to equal out the pressure. I do not hear any odd nosies when it is acting funny.

2. The car has almost no rust. The only rust is on the passenger side under the spoiler. Its a factory spoiler and I noticed it today. It appeard to be a little high so I looked and it loooks like the adhvise is starting to give way and there is a small amount of rust forming. How important is that adhisive in holding on the spoiler? I really don't want it flying off in traffic.

3. The driver side window, just happened not 30 minutes ago suttuters going down. It jerks its way down untill about the half way point, then all is smooth again. It started because I held up the window up button after the window was finishted rolling up. Maybe 10 seconds and I heard what sounded like poping noise. From what I hear the regulator goes fairly often in the Max, is that what just happened to me? It does still work, for now, and I was under the impressing that when the regulator went out the window would just stop.

Thanks for any help,
RB

The adhisive just helps hold it down, check the screws that go through the trunk lid and into the spoiler. give it a little pull to see if it's on tight.
About the other questions some one else should help you whith those, cause I don't know.

about the shuddering.......you should try some lubricant or something along along the seals. that usually helps.

you may have partially fried a relay in the control pad

when I got my max some of the buttons for the window control didnt work. because the buttons were used so much the contacts on the rubber pad inside the control wore off. also one of relays had burnt contacts. a new controller goes for over 100 . i decided to repair it myself and purchased from MCM electronics a chemical to repaint new contacts on the pad (~$27). then i went ahead and picked up a relay that fit the board and matched the specs , initially replaced the wrong one but then got it right (~$6). alot cheaper if you can do it yourself. It's not all that easy if you've never removed the door panel before, but it can be done. If you dont know what your doing go to the dealer.
