Try going through the simple things: air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, change the oil.

My motor seems to have lost alot of power too.. but I think mine is becasue the oil filter blew off the bottom of he engine and took the oil with it while I was driving down the road... then it ran for a few seconds without oil while I was pulling over... but I should try to change the fuel filter and air filter becasue they are probably due for one

The guy I bought it from had changed the oil but put the wrong size filter on it (so it would tighten up but if it was tightened too much it would jump off the threads and become loose again) and it managed to stay on the engine with out a problem for 2,600 miles and then it popped off (makes me wonder if the guys who change the oil at say walmart would check to make sure the filter was the right one or they would just replace it with the same thing they just took off) so anyway the car was past warrenty from the guy I bought it from so I just deal with it... and the power loss, which means car that I should blow away no problem can keep up with me...
