i just wanted to know if I got lowering springs, would I need to get new struts or adjust them or something? One of my friends said this, but I dont necessarily trust him. Also, what are the best lowering springs out there? sprint, eibach, something else?

 

You don't need to change your struts but you get more out of your springs if you do.

 

yeah depending on how old your struts are replace them when you buy springs. i didnt when i dropped my 89 and i had to put new ones on a few weeks later it just doubled the work if your unsure how old they are replace them itll make the ride alot better and save you time.

 

He also asked what springs were the best. I am kind of wondering that myself and have looked around a bit but it is always nice to hear other's opinions. I am not looking for much of a drop, just a bit more aggressive but not something ridiculous or harsh. Which one is the best?

 

If you are lowering your car, you will want new struts also. The stock ones will wear out much more quickly, and you will end up replacing them. The best type of springs really depends on your tastes, budget, etc. I have the eibachs and love them. The drop isnt too much, but the fender gap is pretty much gone and the handling is awesome. You also do not lose any drivability (i.e. no snowplow ).

 

Brad92SE, what size are your rims? I have 18's and was wondering if I got the Eibachs, would they rub?

 

My wheels are 17x8 with a 30mm offset. 18" wheels should not have a problem with rubbing, as long as you have the correct tire size.
