intrax vs. sprint
what do you guys think? i wanna drop my car, but not TOO MUCH, meaning, i want to be able to get over speed bumps/driveways without too much hassle while 3 other peeps are in the car. i also don't want any rubbing with the tires. has anybody experienced rubbing while turning with the sprints? i have 215/17/45 tires right now. i'd be willing to go to a 40 series, but not for a while because i just got new tires. i know people have the stock rims/tire combo with the sprints, but how close are my 215/17/45's to that? do you guys think i might rub? any info please...
i cant speak for the sprints.....but you know what i'm gonna say anyway. get the intrax
i dont ever have any problems going over speed bumps even with 3 people in the car, although i am cautious. you kinda have learn how to drive it when its that low to not scrape all the time. i mean you cant drive it like you would a car with stock suspension. but its no biggy.

i've heard they're both junk (no offense). if you just want to lower it, then it doesn't matter, but if you want performance, make sure you go with a progressive spring. Eibach makes a sport and a pro spring for the max. just FYI.
either way, eibach just isnt low enough. i can sacrifice the little difference in handling for the waaay better looking intrax in my opinion. if you want truly great handling go with eibach. but i dont plan to rally race my car anytime soon so its intrax for me.
I agree with James
I don't know what this whole "junk" thing is about. Personally junk or not, the Intrax springs are great for me and I'm sure would be great for a lot of people.
Bucktown, you seem like a guy who wants style, if you want style hook up some Intrax springs cuz they look real slick... and I went from stock suspension to Intrax and find myself flying around corners.
So I'd have to say if you want to zip around corners, and look damn sweet hook up Intrax! Or maybe Sprint but they aint progressive but maybe the ride is good I don't know but as for Intrax I am one happy customer.

i think this max has intrax. it looks tight! anybody with intrax and stock rims should seriously think about getting 4th gen rims. i love the way it looks! i think the looks and the size of the rims are perfect for the drop, like a touring edition of the max. all it needs is some clear corners...

you know, i've been lookin at alot of maxs, and the one thing owners overlook is tire size on the stock rims. they only put the size that the book calls for (typically). I put 215 50 15's on my stock SE rims, and it lowered my ride height a full inch. I'm not a fan of huge rims, cause i don't like the loss of HP from the unsprung weight, and larger diameter wheels. my max scrapes as it is being lower, i think i'm going to put a set of Eibachs on my max, but first i'm gonna invest in some shox. I'm really dissappointed with the selection of shocks out there. My friend over at redline imports may custom build me a set of coil overs. but that's getting pricey for a car that has 105k on it. Really right now i just want to close the wheel gap between the fender and the tire. It's all relevant. If you slap 17" rims under your max, it's not gonna look low ya know. I like havin the wide meats under my max! i can't go any wider on my stock rims, so if i get aftermarket, i'm going to do a 15x7 or 17x7.5 and slap 235 50 15's on it. anyway, try slapping lower prof tires on it like something 50 series. dulop's SP series comes in these sizes, i've got sp5000s. great tire. anyway, before you complain about not being low enough, try that, you'll be amazed at the difference it makes.
Dude your Speedometer is probably like 10 MPH's off!
