Cold Air Intake from E=bay.

If I get that cold air intake from e-bay , of course it ll bolt in directly but what about the MAF and ACT ? Arent they already made a bolt in for cold intake air too ?

Here is the link to e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2470475291

not quite sure exactly what you mean by ACT but everything in the kit is there that you will need except the bolts for the MAF adapter. They give you some small bolts that dont work so you have to get 4 bolts (or use existing) and 4 nuts.

for more pics go to my cardomain site.

so are you saying you are wanting the CAI or not? if you are then you dont need the MAF adapter like I said in my other post. The CAI comes with everything you need except 4 nuts to put on the screws of the MAF adapter.

If you are saying you just want a MAF adapter instead of the CAI then you will have to look around or wait for someone to make one the right size or get the one shalp is talking about from pepboys.com.

Yes $21 for shipping is high. Let me ask you this though. Where are you going to get a CAI for a VE for less than $60 shipped? You are not unless its used and then thats still low for a used one.

The thing you have to remember about some of these ebay sellers is a lot of them offer a product for a really low price maybe even lower than they paid for it but make up the money on the shipping. You might find the same product somewhere else for more and it equal out because their shipping may be lower.

At least they tell you up front before you bid on it what the shipping charge will be. I see nothing unethecal with it because of that and how cheap it is. I garantee that if they charged actual shipping they would sell the product for $50 or $60 and then you pay the actual shipping...you would then be paying the same or more for the product.

Now if they didnt tell you how much shipping was in their auction and you think you get a super deal on a CAI for less than $40 only to be hit with a $21 shipping fee...well thats a different story.

Anyway thats my take on it and believe me I weighed this before I bought mine. You just cant get a VE CAI for less money or not even close to that little.

You have to look at the auction as a whole including shipping and not focus just on shipping...Thats how I always look at something...I mean <$60 or $250 for PRI VE CAI...you make the call. Even if you factor in getting a K&N filter you are still way under anything else.

Might be a dumb question. But would it be allright to use an intercooler as a temporary intake. Im somewhat in the middle of a turbo project, still have a long way to go and still have a lot to learn. I just bought the same intake that you guys are talking about and I was looking at awsm66 pics and right where his filter is would be pretty close to about where my outlet for my intercooler would be. Obviously ill have nothing hooked to the inlet of the intercooler for now, but would it be ok to run the car this way or not a good idea? any input would be appreciated

I think that I 'm going for it since it is good deal to get CAI at this price and I'll have to look for the MAF adapter.

Is there any way I can MAF adapter for cheap price and where ( if they dont have it in stock).

I dont know much about intercoolers but I think it would starve the motor for air if you dont have something forcing it through. I may be totally off here because I honestly dont know...might as well try it if you have it hooked up already. As long as you have a filter on the inlet of the IC you should not do any harm.

HAHA I think he totally ignores my posts. I have stated it 2 times in this thread that if you get the CAI you dont have to buy an extra MAF adapter BECAUSE THE CAI COMES WITH THE MAF ADAPTER and he is still asking about it LOL.

I am being ignored.

I am just messing with you GReDdyXMaXiMa but really THE MAF ADAPTER COMES WITH THE CAI IF YOU BUY THE CAI IN THAT LINK.

maybe you will not ignore me if I put it in caps LOL.

I see your point, but at the same time, would it be getting more air since the intercooler would be right infront as to where the intake would just be in the engine bay? and i dont know either thats why i ask... maybe this would be a better question in the turbo forums.
