I got a new 3rd gen today. I scored a 1994 Black with Gray interior SE. Its a 5spd, has a sunroof, 125,000 miles, FSTB, pop charger, one spot of surface rust, and some parkinglot dings and scratches( but I'm going to fix those)....

So now I have three 3rd gens... 2 1992 SE's (Black and wrecked, and White and rusty) and a 1994 SE (Black and Good)... all that run and drive (some better than others)

I have a concern with a sound comming from the engine... At idle it sound like the 2 radiator fans are on, but when I look under the hood I see that the fans aren't on. I can't tell if the sound increases with rpm. Could this sound be because of the popcharger that it has?

 

odd, you need to describe thesound better and no its not from the pop charger, ive got one and you only notice it at higher rpm's..

IF THE SOUND YOURE TALKING ABOUT IS A LOUDER THAN NORMAL SUCKING SOUND THEN ITS PROBABLY THE POP CHARGER. YOU CAN REV THE ENGINE WHILE YOU LOOK AT IT BY LOCATING THE 2 THROTTLE CABLES AND PUSHING THE LIL GIZMO ITS CONNECTED TO FORWARD.

 

Ok, I did some listening around the engine today... the first thing I noticed was that the sound had changed.. it went from sounding like the electrical fans were on to sounding like a low drone... It seemed to come from the pop charger along with the added sucking sound... I also noticed that my vtcs tick (must have missed it when buying the car cuz I'm so used to the sound)...
