Flow Master

I'm not too sure if any one of you have flow master on your car and I would like to hear it out to see your opinion cuz I'm thinking about put flow master in my car more than that , of course you would highly recommend me to get the WSP system and I'm getting sick of the looks on my car which it is a ricey muffler n gotta to remove it. What is your suggestion?

Have you thought about a Magnaflow muffler? Stainless steel, fairly cheap and they look nice too. Mtcookson has one on his vg30et Maxima and it sounds great!

I have a flowmaster, and it was a great investment, it has a great throaty sound, definitely the sound is not ricey like those d a m n cheap pieces of junk they sell that they put on civics and accords. Go with the flowmaster

I used to have a flow master and hated it. Most likely it was because it was a 40 series (i didn't know this at the time) which I believe is used on a lot of big V8's. It wasn't all that bad outside but inside it was just way too loud. If you're going for a flow master, stay away from the 40 series and you should be fine.

I recommend Magnaflow myself since they cost about the same (I actually got mine cheaper) and the Magnaflow is stainless steel. The flow master tends to get rusty pretty quick since it is not stainless steel.

I have one that I'd sell =>

I had one on my car and it was nice and deep. The only reason that I took it off was do to the droning sound at highway speeds. I couldnt here my passengers very well. Anyway I dont remember what series mine is but I will sell it to you. I had it on my car for eight months. It has an stainless steel 3inch tip welded to it. Shoot me a pm if you are interested.

i have a flowmaster on my car. its deep and it is loud. what i dont like is that it resonates rather loudly on the inside of my car and i plan on going with magnaflow. i think they sound better. the muffler is rather loud but all my friends still say that my intake is still louder when im racing hehe.

hey,

i always see your pitch for parts on this board. i am fairly interested in magnaflows, but when i follow your link, im just redirected to magnaflow.com. what kind of prices can i expect for a street series, stainless steel magnaflow muffler? and do you carry every model number on magnaflow's product page?

I too have magnaflow and love it. I picked it up from internetautomar and I highly recommend going through him to get one....he saved me about 30-40 bucks over what the local Magnaflow dealer wanted.

sounds great, how much did it run you and what model number did you end up purchasing?

i looked at your pics, and it seems as though you have #14833. the exhaust does look nice, with the dual tips and all. although, in my opinion, it seems as though the tips extend outward just a tad too much. i believe thats 7" in length, correct? if so, i think i may have to steer clear of that.

thanks in advance!

I handle about 75% of magnaflow's product line currently.
Just give me a part # and I'll shoot you back a price.
They run about $100 on up depending on the particular model you want.
Some are less than $100 too.

Walka-

yeah I got 14833. The tips look long in the pics cause the muffler is mounted a little low, i guess. They don't stick out behind the car, like beyond the bumper. It looks better in real life, but then everything does The muffler itself is relatively short, so don't let the tips scare you off.
