GXE AT Shifting Problem

Has anyone had issues with the AT Shifter in GXE’s? The problem I’m having is that the shifter is not engaging properly in Neutral and Drive; I can’t simply press the thumb release and set it into these gears. I have to pull back the shifter directly from Reverse into Drive to get it to engage. I can slap it into Drive from Neutral as well. Once it is in gear, it drives great! Funky problem, but I’m wondering if I can adjust this myself or would I have to take it to a dealer? I just bought this car for my daughter and everything else is perfect; only 64K miles. I appreciate any help with this issue.

Sounds like the shifter cable end mounts/busshings broke. Common problem . Call one of the service advisors at ....Courtesy Nissan.TX and chat with Kaleb.

Wish my MAX only had 64K on it.......

Take Care.............

Thanks for the reply! Took it to the dealer and he confirmed what you thought. Easy fix...only have brakes left to do...

Cheers!
