clock dimming

Hello everyone,
Lately the clock in my 90 SE dims or appears non existent..after awhile, it does come on...any suggestions as to how to fix ?

it does that obn a lot of peoples, I have heard that you can fix by taking out clock and re-soldering loose connections. I didn't think it was worth the time for mine.
