How do know if your knock sensor is going out?

I've heard 95 and newer auto. Maximas having knock sensors go out on them and loosing low-end performance; especially from a stop; is this a common problem for the VE maxima's as well?

can anyone give me an exact pin-point location. I have accsess to a rack so i can put my Maxima in the air and work underneath if i have to.

yes nkock sensors are notorious to go on ve's if you notice a lack of power after the cars warmed up and alot of power when the cars cold then its probably the nkock sensor. is the cars over 100K you most likely can consider it bad. they dont outright fail the go soft over time.
