2nd car

I need to get my wife a second car since we just lost our van. And I have been debating with either getting a 4th gen or a 91 thru 94 Acura Legend. Does anyone here in the 3rd gen family own a 4th gen or a Legend also. I believe I know which people perfer but for repair purposes which is more practical to own with my 3rd gen?

A 4th gen is a very practical V6 car-powerful, fuel efficient and low maintance. The Legend is a good car, but the most common/worse thing about them that I hear is broken timing belt=destroyed engine, but maybe the owners don't change the Tbelts like they should. 4th gens are likely lower mileage and more widely available, than the somewhat rare Legends. I'd vote for a 4th Gen.

Give her your 3rd gen and you drive the 4th gen. My vote is 4th Gen also.

You're gonna end up getting ripped off for the Legend. They are way overpriced because of their rarity.

I say 4th gen too, but hey you are asking on a maxima community, who wouldn't vote for the max

4th gen if its for the wife, they are great mommy mobiles. Otherwise I'd say with a 3rd gen, more room, cheaper to own, better handling, again more room.

I wouldn't get the Legend though, I have a friend who has one and its kind of a pain to work on. one of the first things he did was put a stereo in it, and jeeze, they sure did not make that thing very friendly, kind of a crappy design, and the thing weights A TON! and his was the 2 door version.

I would get a VG over a Legend, Lighter, Faster, More responsive, probably more reliable, Wayyyyy better gas mileage, and more room inside.
