If your cat is bad then usually the exhaust will smell more (rotten eggs) because the cat isn't converting the pollutants in your exhaust. The cat may also get hotter than normal, and if it is clogged then your car might lose acceleration, stumble, any number of things. Check this link out.If your exhaust got louder, then you probably have an exhaust leak somewhere. If you really do need to replace your cat, I have a hi-flow one for sale.

Thats funny you brought that up, looking at the site, it sais what can cause a failure... looking at the part with fuel unburnt.... after that O-ring blew out and all that fuel got dumped through my exhaust system unburnt and the nasty rotten egg smell... hmmm, what ya all think? heheh

Was planning on gutting that thing anyway, no biggy.
