starting problem, please help.

Hi, recently I have starting problem for my auto 92SE. One week ago I couldn't start the car and the mechanic replaced fuel pump($360, no cheap for me, a poor student). But I still can feel there is problem about starting when the car cools down. I use the car every other day. When I first start the car, the car will start, but with relutance and almost going to die. However, when the car warms up(runs for while), there is no problem to start the car and it can start happily.
Who has any idea of what problem? I am worried about it because someday it probably won't start again when I need it most. Please help me. Thank you!

Hi man, I have a 93SE 5 speed with 191k on it, I have a similar problem. The car starts fine when cold and when hot. The problem lies when the car sits for about an hour after it's been running, it doesn't start. It cranks over and over but won't start for at least 5 or 10 minutes sometimes. Alot of us on this forum have had this problem or something similar. No one can seem to find it. I'm going to try the 02 sensor. Cheapest of all sensors, MAF, TPS, CPS etc. etc. Does your Max do the same thing mine does?

My problem is obvious when the car is cold, especially first using the car after some time. I haven't observed the starting problem you described after running. Maybe this problem just showed up a week ago and I need time to find. I will keep an eye on it and tell you if there is problem after running. If you find any problem, please tell me. Thanks, Maxman!
