I am an ebay *****

ok, so there're these wheels that I really like. Thing is though, I've only seen these wheels on ebay. I can't seem to find them anywhere else. I'd like to avoid getting my wheels through ebay. Suggestions?

I guess I should tell you which rims I want. They're Mustang 17x8 black Bullitt replicas. Don't bother telling me I have bad taste. I get that enough already.

Well, what's wrong with buying them on Ebay? And why do you want to avoid buying them there? I know a lot of people have reservations about online auctions and shopping online. So maybe that's the case, here. I'm not sure.

I shop a LOT online, so I'm very comfortable with the process. But to each their own.

i agree, so long as it's cheaper and the person has good feedback, why not buy from ebay

I have nothing against ebay, in fact a lot of the stuff on my car comes from ebay. But these are my wheels we're talking about here, one of the most important focal points of any car. I'm actually only apprehensive because the sellers all seem rather shady. I'm just worried that this might be a case of 'what you see is not what you get.' Does anybody know of any other places that sell knock-off stang wheels?

also look on corrall.net (maybe one L).. the Rustang website, and you can find all kinds of real mustang rims for good prices- and I'm sure a lot of replicas as well.

pick up a copy of "Rustangs and Slow fords" they'll probably have a number of advertisers selling replica wheels

Mike, check out the mustang forums, there tend to be a few good deals in there too. Also check out the local areas and post wanted threads, but make sure they allow them first. I know my local section on stangnet doesn't allow forsale posts anymore, which IMHO sucks, but still. ( however my local chapter of Vintage Mustangs does ). The cool/strange thing about the mustang forums is you can find awesome deals on wheels/tires. It's not rare to find a set for $600 for wheels and tires in great shape. Really makes me wonder how 5th gen guys can get $1000 for their stock 17"s lol .

Thanks guys, I flipped through the pages of an issue of Muscle Mustangs (I think that's what it was) and found some ads for replica GT wheels. Probably going to call tomorrow.

I have bought two sets of rims off of ebay. I had no problems, i just couldn't pass the deal down, I got a hell of a deal on both sets. One are on my 300zx, Which are messed up now from the guy i sold my Z to, he lost control of the car and hit a curb. Dumbass, oh well he owes me 750, looks like i might get it back since he's goin back to prison. Oh well and I can't wait to put my new 18's on my Max. Stupid tire place stripped three wheel studs, plus i also need to get my cv boot replaced, i;m splashing grease everywhere, don't want that on my new rims. I ripped it when installing my springs and struts, but this speedy boot on, which didn't work worth a ****. But i figured it might of been the wrong size, considering it was a ***** to put on. But im takin my car to get fixed later today. I will try another speedy boot again, im anxious to put these rims on. Oh yeah i might as well get a camber kit put on it. I looked into this place that is supposed to be the best alignment place in the Dallas area, they quoted me at 170 for my alignment, kinda steep but they are supposed to do it all.

Hey 3rdgen- where's that alignment place? I live in Garland area too.

BTW- I buy lots of stuff off ebay- just like what was said, all you have to do is check out the feedback and make sure they're legit. Just like you would if you walked into a shop.

Haven't been burned yet...
