Anyone want some carbon fiber

everyone says they want cf hoods, trunks and fenders for the 3rd gen....so i took action and this is the response i got so now everyone knows what they need to do...this was emailed to me from VIS:

Sorry for the delayed response. We need at least 20 people who can prepay
for the hood, trunk and fenders. If they can do that , the hood is is about
$350-400. Trunk is about $400 and the fenders are $400 also, we can always
discuss more about prices when you get the people.

Why in the world is everyone still trying to get group deals and new companies involved in making CF hoods? This is like the fifth or sixth 'attempt' I've seen since FI made our hoods.. Anyone who has been around here for a few years would remember the unimaginable hassle in getting FI to make our hoods.. and that took months to get even 10 people.

Anywho, back to the topic at hand.. why in the world is anyone still trying to get hoods made? We already 'accomplished' this task a couple years back. There's seriously no way 20 pre-paid orders will be done. The 3rd gen community is dwindling as it is, and most of the new 3rd gen enthusiasts are ignorant **** rice-boys who inherited crappy POS 3rd gens on their last leg. Sad days indeed.

Although admirable, this stuff aint happenin. Rather than trying to get a new manufacturer of hoods and whatnot, you guys are seriously better off saving up a hundred more bucks than wasting months in a fruitless quest for something that already exists..

Hey, while you guys are at it why don't you get a rear wheel conversion kit going too! I'm sure both of these will go through.

20 people is a lot
I've seen many group deals that require 10 people and they usually have lots of trouble getting that many. And 20 is almost twice as many people as 10 so it'd be ever harder.

I remember that Place Racing CAI group deal that I was in. It was hard to get the people, I just forgot how many people wanted in. But yeah, that gauge pod was cheap, and it was hard to get enough people.

i can agree the third gen crowd is dwindling and most new owners are ricers however i hope there will still be a few that stay true to what modding is really about. its not blue washer nozzle LEDS, or neon, or chrome wipers or trying to make your car look like an se when its NOT. its not 100 strobes in your car and black lights, its not the knight rider lights behind your grill, its not purple tint, its not aluminum wings (gag, choke) its not altezzas and stickers down your fender, and its definitly not honda fart cannons. This all is rice and everytime i see a car like that i just have to laugh i dont make a big deal about it i just cant fathom how that could look good maybe making the gxe look like an se cause thats a stock conversion(minus the VE powerplant) but all the other stuff , well - just looks riced theres no other word i can think of. modding to me is slight outside body modification to make the car look nice but stock (rims, tires, VERY descreet body kit, and some nice black tint (no mirror tint) maybe removing a badge or two depending on the car and its placement. now the real fun begins. the art of modding to me begins under the hood, not with ebay 12 dollar items but real horsepower makin, asphalt poundin, concrete crushin, gear rippen, mind blowin, nismo packin horsepower. arh arh arh arh MORE POWER !!!

ummmmm....you started this post didn't you??? okay so you make this big announcement than just ditch it after a day...riiiiight. classic, "give me attention post". but so what if people are saying it won't work(including myself)...MAKE IT!!! organize a group deal and see how far it goes...99% chance it won't fly, but you can try. you complain about people *****ing about stuff not being made, but yet you didn't even try to organize a coherent/organized thread explaining the specifics of the deal. thats the problem with a lot of you "new guys", you're sared if no one comes BEFORE you and does it first...do your own thing, start your deal and see what happens. but like Maximamike always said..nothing has changed here pretty funny

a little cocky huh? your maxima is another me too car, nothing special, get over yourself, cause you dont like something doesnt mean its ricey, and dont get down on gxe's, your mostly stock VE isnt that big a step above it, and as far as you hinting at certain people "trying to make your car look like an se when its NOT" if you got a problem with someone come out and say it, mabey someone has a gxe and likes the black look over chrome, doesnt mean they are trying to make it looks like an SE mabey black over chrome works with a certain color better.
