dash cracks

What has anyone used on dash cracks? Today I got into my 91 SE with black dash and noticed just to the left of pass side vent, a small 1/2 in crack. Has anyone used anything on them to stop them? cover them? any product out there to fix the small crack?.......other than a dash cover(i hate the look of them)

You're not the only one. I have 3. Its right above my speedo console, so when I drive in the sun, it reflects off my leaking windshield. heh.

I had 5 dash cracks in mine that had got so bad that they were hard to seal. I hated them. I tried to fix them and they never looked any better after I used the vinyl seal that they sell in Pep Boys. I ended up swapping out the entire top part of the dash with another one from a 92. NEVER AGAIN !! I still have the scars....lol

Those do it yourself viynal repair kits never work like they should. I would take it someplace and have the crack fixed professionally. I remember my friend had one fixed in his Jeep, it was unnoticable until he showed me exacty where it was then I could see a very slight difference in viynal texture.
